Lisa-Marie is a lover of dance and movement, and the owner of Train Fitness Professionals.
Lisa-Marie enjoys finding fun in everyday life, while balancing to ‘feel the feels’ of living in a world that is sometimes kind, sometimes difficult and always surprising. Growing up in the suburbs of Auckland, New Zealand, Lisa-Marie has always been a dreamer. Her passion for movement started early, when her mum took her to attend her very first Tap dance class at age 6 (thanks Mum!). She never really stopped dancing, and by working her way through a dance degree at Auckland University, she found her love for the WAY the body moves and the JOY it can create in everyBODY. Later, as a Personal Trainer, she thought there must be more to the industry that the usual weight loss culture that she herself, had participated in. And Lisa-Marie found that answer. Now a proud affiliate of the Body Positive Fitness Alliance, Lisa-Marie prides herself in working within the Body Positive and Weight Neutral fitness community - choosing to spread kindness, compassion and worthiness to all people and body types. TrainFP is about using fitness to grow in confidence, find support and show kindness to all (especially ourselves). They promote health and fitness as a positive journey from the very start. Lisa-Marie created TrainFP because I want to build a positive fitness community - one that everyone is welcome and creates a sense of acceptance for all, no matter your background or current circumstances.
